10x

Binoculars with 10x magnification.
In the case of binoculars you usually read number combinations such as 10x42 or 12x56. The first number indicates the magnification of the binocular. The second number stands for the diameter of the lens in millimeters. At 10x magnification, the object appears ten times larger than by the naked eye. For a hand-held binocular an 8-10x magnification is sufficient, for higher magnification values the use of a tripod is recommended.
