Bushnell Core DS-4K No-Glow - 32MP 4K Photo Trap
The Core DS-4K Now-Glow from Bushnell is a digital photo trap that is equally suitable for wildlife observation and surveillance. A highly sensitive passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor detects any movement and relays the command to the capture unit. This records high-quality images with up to 32 megapixels or video clips in 4K resolution, depending on the setting. The new Bushnell Photo Trap Core DS-4K 32MP comes with many improvements and nine new features. Faster shutter speeds, higher resolution, improved power management are just some of the new features.
Dual sensor technology
Unlike most photo traps, the Core DS (Dual Sensor) has two separate sensors, each for day or night photography. Thanks to this new technology, daytime shots have sharper image contrast and nighttime shots have better illumination.
PIR sensor
The Core DS-4K is equipped with a highly sensitive passive infrared (PIR) motion sensor. This detects any movement in the monitored area at lightning speed. When motion is detected, the digital camera unit immediately triggers and automatically captures photos or video according to previously programmed settings.
No-Glow Infrared LEDs
The Core DS-4K Trail Cam is equipped with 6 No-Glow Infrared LEDs, these last for a maximum distance of 33 meters, work at lightning speed, so even in the dark, clear photos and videos (in black and white) are recorded. The No-Glow LEDs are invisible to the human eye. Color photos and videos are recorded in sufficient light conditions.
Field Scan 2x with Live Trigger Function
Field Scan is a revolutionary new feature for Bushnell Core DS-4K Trail Cams that allows you to monitor food spots or remote areas with time-lapse image sequences or video clips. When the feature is enabled, the Core DS-4K photo trap automatically takes photos or videos at a pre-set interval during the set time blocks without the need for triggering via the PIR sensor. This has the advantage of monitoring the edge of a field that is 50 to 150 meters away from the camera and thus outside the range of the PIR sensor. In addition, the camera is also triggered via the PIR sensor.
Power consumption
Thanks to a new power management system, the Bushnell Core DS-4K consumes very little power (less than 0.075 mA) in standby (monitoring) mode. As a result, the photo trap is operational in standby mode for up to 6 months with full AA alkaline batteries and up to 12 months with lithium AA batteries.
Housing
The Core DS-4K photo trap is designed for outdoor use and is resistant to heat, cold, water and snow. All the technology is housed in a rugged case that can withstand sharp teeth or claws. The control unit is protected by a cover with a quick-release fastener and can be secured with a U-lock. The reinforced cable lock tabs on the back of the housing, serve to secure the photo trap.
