The name SWIZA dates back to 1904, when Lois Schwab was the founder of the Swiss company based in Moutier in the Bernese Jura. Schwab specialised in the manufacture of wake-up functions. Since 2015 in October, 111 years later, it has also been the legendary pocket knife with the Swiss cross, which may also bear the name SWIZA. The three sons of Schwab took over the company after the death of their father in 1935 and soon they officially patented the name SWIZA. The Schwab brothers developed an 8-day movement. In 1965, the headquarters of a new manufactory were established in Delémont and then inaugurated. In 1979, the third generation took over SWIZA. The flourishing company received the highest awards for quality and international sales. In 2006, the Schwab family separated from the long-established company and the name SWIZA remained. Production continued in the direction of luxurious table clocks and alarm clocks with pure quartz movements.
