At the heart of the EDC09 are two quad-core MCT UHE LEDs, which together produce up to 1,600 lumens. The special feature is the MCT (Multiple Color Temperatures) technology: at the touch of a button, you can switch between Cool White (6,500 K, CRI 73), Neutral White (4,500 K, CRI 83) and Warm White (3,000 K, CRI 97). The warm white light with a color rendering index of 97 is particularly well suited for color-critical tasks – from workshop inspections to night reading in a tent. What sets the EDC09 apart from a conventional flashlight is its mechanical flexibility. Four brightness levels per light color – intuitive to use
The EDC09 offers four brightness levels for each of the three light colors as well as a warning signal flash. The side slide switch controls the brightness from ultra-low (1 lumen, up to 250 hours) to high – between 1,050 and 1,600 lumens, depending on the selected light color. The M button changes the light color. This means that the lamp can be operated precisely even in the dark without looking at it. The battery level indicator provides information about the remaining energy supply at all times.
