Morakniv is one of the worldβs most recognised knife brands. Since its founding in 1891 in Γstnor near Mora, Sweden, the family-owned company has been designing and manufacturing knives for outdoor pursuits, bushcraft, craftsmanship and culinary use β every single one at the same site in Dalarna. What began as Frost-Erik Ersonβs workshop is today a globally respected manufacturer whose knives are valued in over 40 countries. At Swiss-Sale.ch you will find a curated collection of Morakniv knives and axes for every outdoor adventure.
Moraknivβs outdoor range covers every requirement: the Companion is the best-selling entry point into the world of Swedish knives β lightweight, robust and fitted with a stainless Sandvik steel blade. The Kansbol serves as a versatile all-rounder with a well-balanced blend of precision and durability. And the Garberg, with its full-tang construction and 3.2 mm thick blade, sets the benchmark for demanding bushcraft use. All Morakniv outdoor knives combine the Scandinavian grind with thoughtful ergonomics.
Morakniv blades are forged from Swedish steel β either stainless Sandvik 12C27 or traditional carbon steel (UHB-20C). The Sandvik 12C27 delivers a balanced combination of sharpness, corrosion resistance and ease of resharpening. The carbon steel excels in edge retention and can be used with a fire steel to produce sparks. Both steels are hardened to 56β58 HRC β the ideal compromise between hardness and toughness.
The Bushcraft series by Morakniv is aimed at experienced outdoor enthusiasts who need a knife for demanding tasks. With thicker blades, ergonomic handles and robust sheaths, these knives are designed for batoning, carving and fire-making. The Bushcraft Survival features an integrated fire steel in the sheath section β a detail that can make the difference in an emergency. The Eldris, meanwhile, is conceived as a compact neck knife and accompanies adventurers as a reliable secondary blade around the neck or on a pack.
Morakniv is a world leader in carving knives. The Wood Carving series includes carving knives, hook knives and draw knives for every technique β from rough spoon hollowing to fine detail cuts. The laminated steel blade of the carving knives combines a hard cutting edge with a tough backing layer, enabling wafer-thin, controlled cuts. Whether a beginner or an experienced woodcarver β Morakniv offers the right tool.
With the Outdoor Axe, Morakniv extends its range to include a tool that is indispensable in Scandinavian outdoor life. The axe features a boron steel head with DIN certification and a sturdy, shock-dampened handle made from glass-fibre reinforced polyamide. At a weight of roughly 500 g, it is light enough for a rucksack yet powerful enough for firewood and camp chores.
