What began on 20 March 1901 as Nordisk Fjerfabrik in Copenhagen – a young merchant named H.O. Lange trading in down and feathers – has grown over more than 120 years into one of Scandinavia’s most influential outdoor brands. The first sleeping bags appeared in the 1940s, tents and apparel followed in the 1970s. The Caravan brand, later renamed Nordisk, was one of the world’s first dedicated outdoor brands.
