The bomber jacket is Fostex Garments’ signature piece. Inspired by flight jackets of the Second World War and the Cold War, Fostex offers a wide range of flight jackets in MA-1, CWU-45/P and deck jacket styles. The story of Fostex Garments begins on 5 May 1945, the day the Netherlands was liberated. The Van Os brothers from the village of Benschop spotted an opportunity in trading surplus military goods: uniforms, motorcycles, radios, compasses and countless other high-quality army items were stored in barns and fields behind their farm. When the original stocks ran out, they began sourcing new equipment directly from manufacturers in Europe, the USA and the Far East. In the early 1980s the Fostex Garments brand was born – renowned for authentic military style at an outstanding price-to-quality ratio.
