Pulsar is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of thermal imaging devices and night vision optics. What began in 1991 in a basement with wooden observation tubes has become an international technology company headquartered in Vilnius, Lithuania, with over 1,100 employees across seven countries and a comprehensive range for hunting, wildlife observation and security. Since introducing the Pulsar brand in 2009, the company has consistently pursued in-house development and manufacturing in Europe – from the microbolometer sensor through the AMOLED optics to the finished device. At Swiss-Sale.ch you will find a carefully curated Pulsar collection for the Swiss market.

Thermal monoculars – from Axion to Telos

Pulsar’s thermal monoculars cover the full spectrum: the Axion 2 series with 4.5-second fast startup is ideal for quick observation during the hunt. The Axion XG35 with its 640×480 sensor and the XQ models deliver compact performance for every situation. The Oryx LRF line combines thermal imaging with an integrated laser rangefinder for precise distance measurement. And with the Telos LRF XP50, Pulsar has launched the first hardware-upgradeable thermal monocular – featuring a 640×480 sensor, AMOLED display and detection range up to 2,300 metres.

European Manufacturing · 50 Hz Frame Rate
Designed, developed and manufactured in Europe

Pulsar is one of the few manufacturers that control the entire production process in Europe. From sensor development through optical design to final assembly, everything takes place under one roof – at the headquarters in Vilnius and at additional facilities. The result: 640×480 microbolometer sensors running at 50 Hz, delivering smooth, detail-rich thermal images. This vertical integration enables short innovation cycles and a level of quality control that would not be possible with imported components.

Thermal riflescopes – Thermion series

With the Thermion and Thermion 2 series, Pulsar offers thermal riflescopes for hunting that mount directly onto standard rings. The devices combine high-resolution 640×480 sensors with AMOLED displays and offer multiple colour palettes, picture-in-picture mode and ballistic calculators. The 50 Hz frame rate ensures a blur-free image even during fast panning – a decisive advantage when hunting moving game.

Clip-ons & thermal binoculars

For hunters who wish to keep their existing riflescope, Pulsar offers the Krypton 2 clip-on range and the Forward FN455S clip-on attachment. These devices mount in front of the existing riflescope and convert it into a thermal system – without re-zeroing. In the thermal binoculars segment, Pulsar sets new benchmarks with the Merger LRF and the revolutionary Merger Duo: the Merger Duo combines thermal and optical imaging in a single device using multispectral imaging technology – a world first in hunting optics.

Frequently Asked Questions – Pulsar

What is the difference between Axion, Oryx and Telos?
The Axion series offers compact thermal monoculars for quick observation with a 4.5-second fast startup. The Oryx LRF line adds an integrated laser rangefinder for precise distance measurement. The Telos LRF XP50 is the flagship model with a 640×480 sensor, AMOLED display, laser rangefinder and, as the first thermal monocular, hardware-upgradeable capability – with a detection range of up to 2,300 metres.
What does 50 Hz frame rate mean?
The 50 Hz frame rate means the sensor delivers 50 images per second. This produces a smooth, jitter-free thermal image – particularly important during fast panning movements while hunting or when observing moving wildlife. Lower frame rates lead to trailing effects and blur.
Where are Pulsar devices manufactured?
Pulsar devices are fully designed, manufactured and assembled in Europe. The headquarters are in Vilnius, Lithuania. The company controls the entire production process in-house – from sensor development through optical design to final assembly. Pulsar is part of the Yukon Advanced Optics Worldwide group with over 1,100 employees across seven countries.
What is the Stream Vision 2 app?
Stream Vision 2 is the official Pulsar app for iOS and Android. It enables live streaming of the thermal image to a smartphone, remote control of device settings, photo and video capture, firmware updates and sharing of observations. The connection is established via Wi-Fi directly from the device.
