The 101INC Poncho Outbreak Soft Shell in Olive is far more than a simple rain poncho. Made from elastic polyester-spandex softshell, it provides reliable protection from rain and wind without restricting freedom of movement. Reinforced corners with eyelets allow it to be pitched as a tarp or ground sheet. The generous hood with brim and drawstring, the zippered neck closure and the side snap buttons ensure a secure fit. Softshell – quiet, stretchy and weatherproof
While conventional ponchos are made from rustling nylon film, the Outbreak uses soft, elastic softshell fabric. The material is waterproof yet breathable – perspiration escapes outward while rain stays out. Thanks to the quiet texture, the poncho is also suited for hunting, stalking and military reconnaissance where noise avoidance is critical.
Velcro panels – tactical identification all around
The Poncho Outbreak features hook-and-loop (Velcro) panels at multiple positions: front, back, arms and hood. This allows tactical patches, flags, IR markers or unit insignia to be attached flexibly – even when the poncho is worn over equipment and conceals markings underneath.
From poncho to tarp – one move, two functions
The reinforced corners with metal eyelets turn the Outbreak into a fully functional tarp. Strung between trees it serves as a rain canopy over a bivouac, and on the ground as a seat pad or tent ground sheet. The zippered front pocket doubles as a stuff sack: the entire poncho folds down into it.
