Bushnell TRS-26 AR Optics Red Dot Sight
3 MOA – 50,000+ h Battery Life
Compact 1×26 mm reflex sight with Amber-Bright multi-coating, IPX7 protection and 50,000 hours runtime – built for the AR platform.
The AR-optimised red dot sight with record-breaking battery life
The Bushnell TRS-26 AR Optics is a compact 1×26 mm red dot sight specifically designed for AR platforms and modern sporting rifles. The 3 MOA red dot is quick to acquire and precise enough for distances up to 100 m and beyond. The outstanding battery life of over 50,000 hours (CR2032) means in practice: over 5 years of continuous operation – the sight can remain permanently switched on. The Amber-Bright multi-coated lens delivers a high-contrast, natural view with a slightly warm amber tone that makes target acquisition easier in poor lighting conditions. IPX7 certification, nitrogen purging and a rugged housing make the TRS-26 weather-proof and reliable. Included in the box is a Picatinny hi-rise mount (T1 compatible).

Amber-Bright multi-coating – high-contrast view in any light
The Amber-Bright multi-coating is the optical centrepiece of the TRS-26. It filters blue stray light and increases contrast at twilight, in fog and under overcast skies. The slight amber tint enhances target contours against the background and reduces glare. Combined with the 26 mm objective lens, it creates a generous viewing window with natural colour reproduction. The 3 MOA dot is projected with high contrast across the entire field of view – whether in glaring sunlight or at dusk.
50,000+ hours runtime – always on, always ready
With over 50,000 hours of battery life from a single CR2032 coin cell, the TRS-26 sets the standard in its class. In practice this means: you can leave the sight permanently switched on without worrying about battery changes. Ten brightness levels allow adjustment to any lighting condition. The optional 12-hour auto-shutoff is available, though hardly necessary with this runtime. Parallax is factory-set at 50 yards – a compromise that works optimally for most engagement distances.
Picatinny hi-rise mount – T1 compatible and ready to go
The TRS-26 ships with a Picatinny hi-rise mount that enables a lower 1/3 co-witness position on AR-15 platforms. The mount is T1 compatible, making a later switch to aftermarket mounts straightforward. The turrets offer 1 MOA clicks with a travel rate of 36 MOA per revolution and a total adjustment range of 100 MOA in each direction – more than sufficient for precise zeroing at any distance.
5-year warranty – reliable from Bushnell
Bushnell provides a 5-year manufacturer warranty on the TRS-26 AR Optics against material and workmanship defects. The sight is IPX7 certified and nitrogen purged for reliable operation in all weather conditions. In addition, the statutory 2-year Swiss warranty applies.

Frequently Asked Questions – Bushnell TRS-26 AR Optics
What is the Amber-Bright coating?
The Amber-Bright multi-coating filters blue stray light and increases contrast in poor lighting conditions. The slight amber tint enhances target contours and reduces glare – particularly useful at twilight, in fog and under overcast skies.
How long does the battery really last?
Bushnell rates it at over 50,000 hours – that equates to over 5 years of continuous operation. You can leave the sight permanently switched on without worrying about battery changes.
Is the TRS-26 waterproof?
Yes. The TRS-26 is IPX7 certified and nitrogen purged. It is waterproof during brief submersion up to 1 m depth and fog-proof from the inside.
Is the mount T1 compatible?
Yes. The included Picatinny hi-rise mount is T1 compatible. You can later switch the TRS-26 to any commercially available T1 mount, e.g. for an absolute co-witness position.
What does 50-yard parallax mean?
The parallax is factory-set at 50 yards (approx. 46 m). This means the dot impacts exactly where it points at this distance. At shorter and longer distances, deviations are so minimal that they are negligible for most engagement scenarios.
How many brightness levels does the TRS-26 have?
The TRS-26 offers 10 brightness levels that can be seamlessly adjusted to any lighting condition – from twilight to glaring daylight.
How large is the adjustment range?
The turrets offer 1 MOA clicks with 100 MOA of adjustment in each direction and a travel rate of 36 MOA per revolution. This is sufficient for precise zeroing at any common distance.
What warranty applies to the TRS-26?
Bushnell provides a 5-year manufacturer warranty against material and workmanship defects. In addition, the statutory 2-year Swiss warranty applies.
