Can I charge 18650 and 21700 batteries in the same charger?

Yes, the Fenix ARE-A2 and ARE-D2 support both formats. The spring-loaded contacts automatically adjust to the cell length. You can even charge different battery sizes simultaneously in the individual bays.

How do I know when my battery is fully charged?

Chargers with LCD displays such as the Fenix ARE-D2 or Varta LCD Universal Charger show the charging progress in real time. Once the battery is fully charged, the device automatically switches to trickle charge and the display signals completion.

How long does it take to fully charge an 18650 battery?

Charging time depends on the capacity and charge current. A 3,500 mAh battery at 1 A charge current takes approximately 3.5 to 4 hours. With fast-charge options (2 A), the time is halved accordingly, provided the battery supports it.

Can I charge Pulsar APS batteries with a Fenix charger?

No, the Pulsar APS battery packs have a proprietary format and can only be charged with the dedicated Pulsar APS chargers. These are specifically designed for the charging curve and safety requirements of the APS cells.

Is it safe to leave the charger running overnight?

Yes, all chargers in our range feature automatic shut-off and overcharge protection. Once the battery reaches its final charging voltage, the charging process is stopped. Nevertheless, we recommend not operating the charger unattended on flammable surfaces.
