The Fosco Jungle Hammock with Mosquito Net | 210 × 75 cm | Green is a compact hammock from the Fosco Industries range, specifically designed for bushcraft, tropical and forest camping. It combines a load-bearing nylon hammock with a mosquito net stretched above, protecting you from mosquitoes, sandflies and other flying insects. When set up it measures 210 × 75 cm – sufficient for an adult up to about 190 cm body length.
At a total weight of 440 g and a packed size that fits in the included pack sack, the hammock is well suited for backpack transport on bushcraft weekends, jungle expeditions and tropical travel. Important note: suspension ropes are NOT included and must be purchased separately. We recommend dedicated hammock suspension sets (whoopie slings, tree straps or ridgeline sets) as they protect tree bark and keep the hammock securely in place. Important: the hammock is designed for summer and transitional temperatures. On cool nights we recommend an additional underquilt or insulating mat because you freeze from below in a hammock.

When choosing, mind the load rating (at least 200 kg per rope for safety) and use trunks with a diameter from 20 cm. Ideal suspension angle: 30° between rope and horizontal, giving the right sag for comfortable lying.

After use let the nylon fabric air-dry and pack dry before storing in the sack – damp nylon materials mould over time. On soiling wash with clear water; for heavier soiling use mild soap and gentle hand-wash. Not in the washing machine (mosquito net damages quickly). Not in tumble dryer. Important: max load approx 100–120 kg – not designed for two people. Children under 8 only under supervision in the hammock so they don't wake tangled. For rain we recommend an additional tarp (3 × 3 m or larger) as nylon is water-repellent but not permanently waterproof.
