The Katadyn BeFree Gravity 10L is the largest gravity water filter in the BeFree family, intended for groups, base camps and longer stays. The 10-litre reservoir is filled and hung up once, after which the water runs through the EZ-Clean Membrane with its 0.1 µm pore size – no pumping, nobody having to stand by. For a group of six, ten litres typically cover dinner, washing up and the drinking bottles for the following day. At 284 grams the system stays light enough to come along on trekking trips.

Ten litres – what that means in camp

As a rule of thumb, camp planning assumes two to three litres of drinking water per person per day, plus water for cooking and washing up.
