Nine LEDs, 450 metres range and a built-in sensor that thinks ahead

The Nitecore EDC33 is not an ordinary EDC flashlight. It combines 4,000 lumens of peak output from nine UHi 20 MAX LEDs with an optical sensor protection system that detects obstacles at close range and automatically reduces output to 300 lumens – before the light overheats or blinds the user. With 54,500 candela intensity and 450 metres of throw in Search mode, it covers vast areas effortlessly. The built-in 4,000 mAh battery charges via USB-C in approximately 2 hours. IP68 protection, 2-metre drop resistance and a 7075-T6 aluminium body with HA III hard anodising make the EDC33 the uncompromising choice for outdoor professionals and EDC enthusiasts.

Optical sensor protection – the EDC33 thinks ahead before things get critical

The optical sensor on the EDC33 detects when the head is too close to an object – for example inside a jacket pocket or aimed at a wall. In that case the light automatically dims to 300 lumens to prevent overheating and glare. Once the obstacle is removed, the light returns to the selected output level. Combined with ATR (Advanced Temperature Regulation) and APC (Advanced Power Control), a triple safety net protects the light reliably even under continuous load.

UHi 20 MAX 9-core – nine LEDs delivering a flood of light to 450 metres

The nine UHi 20 MAX LEDs of the EDC33 produce 4,000 lumens together in Lumin Shield mode. In Search mode, the light delivers 1,700 lumens at 54,500 candela intensity with a range of 450 metres – ideal for search and rescue, terrain overview or hunting at night. Six output levels from Ultralow (5 lm) to Lumin Shield (4,000 lm) cover every lighting situation, from map reading in a tent to long-range illumination in the field.

Rapid Lock – half lockout, full lockout, maximum control

The Nitecore EDC33 features a two-stage Rapid Lock system: half lockout prevents accidental activation in a pocket while still allowing access to Ultralow mode. Full lockout deactivates the light completely. Four LED indicators on the body display battery status in real time, and the tail button supports both half and full press for fast mode switching in the field.

7075-T6 aluminium and IP68 – built for the toughest conditions

The EDC33 body is made from 7075-T6 aluminium with military HA III hard anodising – the same alloy used in aerospace. With IP68 certification (2 metres continuous submersion) and 2 metres of drop resistance, the light withstands rain, mud, snow and hard impacts. At 115.6 mm in length and 121 g without clip, it fits comfortably in any jacket pocket – compact enough for EDC, powerful enough for professional deployment.

4,000 mAh battery with USB-C – 63 hours runtime and 12 months standby

The built-in 4,000 mAh lithium-ion battery charges via USB-C (5V/2A) in approximately 2 hours. In Ultralow mode at 5 lumens, the light runs for up to 63 hours; in Search mode at 1,700 lumens, around 2.5 hours. When fully charged, standby time is an impressive 12 months – the EDC33 is always ready, even after weeks in a drawer.
