The Nordisk Voss 2 LW Tarp Forest Green is a mini tentwing from Danish outdoor brand Nordisk – engineered for everyone who has to combine maximum weather protection with minimum weight and the smallest packed size. At outer dimensions of 230 × 184 cm it spans a 2 m² coverage area, shelters a sleeping spot, a short break or the cooking station and weighs only 80 g (fly without accessories) or 140 g in the complete set. In its stuff sack it shrinks to just 15 × 15 cm and disappears into any bikepacking roll, pocket or trailrunning vest.
This is enabled by a 10D nylon ripstop with silicone coating – a material otherwise reserved for high-end ultralight tents. The 2'000 mm water column is plenty for normal to heavy rain; the ripstop weave stops individual tears. Eight attachment points around the body let you pitch the tarp in dozens of configurations: A-frame, lean-to, pyramid, half-open, fully closed – depending on wind, terrain and needs.

The threads in the 10D nylon ripstop are extremely fine and interrupted in the weave by reinforced cross threads – the classic ripstop grid. With a point damage the tear does not spread but stops at the next reinforcement line. The two-sided silicone coating seals the fabric waterproof (2'000 mm WC) yet stays flexible and fold/crease resistant – the tarp can be rolled and unrolled hundreds of times without the coating breaking.

It does not replace a full tent but provides fast flat weather protection for short nights under the stars, rain breaks, mobile kitchen stations or as a vestibule extension of the Nordisk Lofoten and Telemark tents. For multi-day tours in continuous rain we recommend a larger tarp or a classic tent.

With the eight attachment points the tarp can be pitched in dozens of geometries: A-frame (classic ridge), lean-to (half open wall), diamond (above a hammock), pyramid (with a central pole), diagonal storm setup and many more. Included are 4 removable fast-attach guy lines in 2.0 mm Dyneema with slider and mini hook – you do not need pegs, but you can always knot additional cordage to the 4 free points. Care & storage of the Nordisk Voss 2 LW Tarp Forest Green
After use, shake out earth and leaves and let dry fully before folding – damp storage can over time cause mildew and a musty smell. For heavier soiling clean with clear water and a soft brush; no machine wash, no aggressive cleaners and no tumble dryer – the silicone coating would suffer. For long-term storage keep loosely folded in a dry, dark cupboard, not in the compression sack.
