Buy the Primos Smokescreen Ground Swat Blind | Camouflage – the fast ground concealment from Primos

The Primos Smokescreen Ground Swat Blind | Camouflage is a portable ground blind from the Primos range, designed as a minimalist concealment for ground stand. Instead of a full 4-wall blind with poles, windows and zipper door, the Smokescreen relies on a quiet spring-steel frame stretched with camouflage fabric. Deployed in seconds, packed in seconds, easily carried in a backpack – that's the core idea.

Who is it for? Turkey hunters on US travel hunts who need to change call positions and have no time for a 5-minute blind setup. Crow and predator hunters calling on open meadow or forest edge. Bow hunters staying at low sit level at the tree base while breaking their silhouette profile. And anyone looking for a mobile concealment they can use at multiple positions in the hunt area without effort each time.

What is the Ground Swat approach optimal for?

Classic ground blinds (tent format with 4 walls) are comfortable but slow to set up and heavy in the backpack – only worth it if you stay at one spot for hours. The Ground Swat approach answers the other use case: you move between positions, try different call spots and need only fast, mobile silhouette breaking. The {m} solves this problem by offering silhouette breaking and camouflage of a real blind – without the tent complexity.

What makes Primos Hunting special with ground blinds?

Since 1963 Primos has focused on functional, field-tested hunting gear. Their ground blinds are known for quiet construction (the most important factor in turkey hunting – every rattle or crinkle spooks a gobbler), matched camouflage patterns for North American forests and a focused feature set without unnecessary gadgets. The Smokescreen Ground Swat fits this tradition.

Setup & safety notes for the ground concealment

For setup deploy in the desired position on level ground and secure with the included stakes (in strong wind additionally use guy lines or weight with stones). Make sure the back of the concealment faces your sitting position and the camouflage side faces the game – otherwise camouflage does not work. Packing down: press the frame at defined points so the spring-steel construction springs back to its packed form. With practice this takes under 5 seconds. For use in Switzerland: concealment and ground blinds are uncritical under hunting law, but respect cantonal rules on private property.
