The Sightmark MTS-Mini Solar Red Dot Sight combines solar technology and battery operation in a compact, rugged aluminium housing. The 3 MOA dot provides the ideal balance between speed and precision – whether engaging targets dynamically at close range or taking deliberate shots at medium distance. The integrated ELMS (Eclipse Light Management System) automatically adjusts brightness in solar mode to match ambient lighting, while battery mode offers 10 manual settings. With IP67 protection, a tool-free hinged battery door and two Picatinny mounts included, the MTS-Mini Solar is ready to go – on any platform.

ELMS – automatic brightness adjustment in solar mode
The Eclipse Light Management System (ELMS) is the centrepiece of the MTS-Mini Solar. In solar operation, the system continuously analyses ambient brightness and automatically regulates dot intensity – from dim indoor environments to glaring sunlight. The dot remains optimally visible at all times without manual adjustment. Combined with the top-mounted solar panel, the system achieves a theoretical runtime of up to 200,000 hours on the lowest setting – virtually unlimited with sufficient light.
Dual power system – solar and CR2032 for maximum reliability
The MTS-Mini Solar does not rely on a single power source. The top-mounted solar panel powers the sight in daylight, while the CR2032 coin cell serves as backup in darkness or indoor use. The tool-free hinged battery door allows battery replacement in seconds – without tools and without removing the mount. In battery-only mode, the device offers 10 manual brightness settings and a runtime of 400 hours on the highest or up to 200,000 hours on the lowest setting.
Two mounts included – ready to go on any Picatinny rail
The package includes two Picatinny mounts: a low mount for a low-profile setup and an absolute co-witness mount for alignment with standard iron sights on AR platforms. This allows you to flexibly adapt the MTS-Mini Solar to your firearm and shooting style – without additional costs or waiting for accessories.
IP67 and aluminium housing – ready for any environment
The aluminium housing reliably protects the optics against impacts and recoil. The IP67 certification ensures complete protection against dust and temporary submersion in water. With an operating temperature range of –30 to +50 °C, the MTS-Mini Solar performs reliably under extreme climatic conditions – from arctic cold to desert heat. At just 75 × 41 × 69 mm and 155.9 g, the sight remains remarkably compact and lightweight.
