A particular highlight is the Swiss brand SwissPiranha: the RT series is made from recycled plastic, is extremely lightweight yet remarkably strong. The pegs are manufactured in Switzerland and offer a sustainable alternative to conventional aluminium or steel pegs. The range is complemented by proven products from BCB International, Snugpak and Nordisk.
The SwissPiranha RT series comprises four sizes: RT90 (9 cm, ultralight), RT120 (12 cm, all-round), RT150 (15 cm, standard) and RT220 (22 cm, heavy duty). All are made from recycled plastic, extremely lightweight yet robust enough for most ground types. The Y-profile provides high holding resistance at minimal weight. For ultralight trekking, the RT90 or RT120 are ideal; for larger tents and windy conditions, choose the RT150 or RT220.
Paracord is the most versatile rope in the outdoor world. BCB offers two variants: 50 kg breaking strength (lightweight, ideal for guy lines and repairs) and 250 kg breaking strength (for heavy loads, hammock suspension and emergency scenarios). Both variants are 15 m long and available in olive. Nordisk also offers a polyester guy line with 2.5 mm diameter, specifically designed for tents and tarps.
Elastic bungees from BCB are excellent for tensioning tarps, covers and tent flysheets. The 1 m cords in packs of 4 are available in olive and yellow/orange. Nordisk cord locks (in S and L) enable quick, tool-free adjustment of rope tension – indispensable in changeable weather.
On loose ground such as snow, sand or fine gravel, conventional pegs fail. The SwissPiranha snow & sand anchor set was designed specifically for such conditions. The broad anchor surface distributes the load over a larger area, providing reliable hold – even on winter tours and at sandy beaches.
Tent pegs and anchoring accessories are essential for every outdoor overnight stay: from lightweight trekking tents in the Alps to family camping tents at campsites and tarp setups in bushcraft camps. Paracord also serves as a universal all-purpose rope for washing lines, repairs and emergencies.

For tent guy lines, the BCB Paracord with 50 kg breaking strength is sufficient. If you also want to use paracord for hammocks, heavy tarps or as emergency rope, we recommend the 250 kg variant.
The SwissPiranha RT series is suited for soft to medium-hard ground. On very hard or rocky terrain, the plastic pegs may reach their limits. For rocky alpine ground, we recommend the Snugpak steel pegs as a supplement.
Cord locks allow quick, tool-free adjustment of guy line tension. In wind or temperature changes, rope tensions vary – with cord locks you adjust the length in seconds without untying any knots.
The SwissPiranha snow & sand anchor set was designed specifically for soft ground. The broad anchor surface prevents slipping through snow or sand and provides reliable hold where conventional pegs fail.
