Trail Cameras – Observing Nature Without Being There

Trail cameras (also called wildlife cameras or camera traps) are autonomous surveillance cameras that automatically capture photos or videos when motion is detected. At their core, they use a passive infrared sensor (PIR) that registers heat changes in the detection area – for example when an animal or person crosses the sensor zone.
