BPA (Bisphenol A) is a plasticiser that can leach from certain plastics into the water. BPA-free containers do not use such substances – the water stays taste-neutral and free from potentially harmful chemicals. All our BCB water containers are BPA-free and food-grade.
Rinse the container thoroughly with warm water and a small amount of washing-up liquid after each use. For stubborn deposits, you can use a solution of baking soda and water. Then let the container dry completely before folding and storing it – this prevents mould growth.
Collapsible plastic containers are designed for cold and lukewarm water. Boiling or very hot water can damage the material and cause deformation. For hot beverages, we recommend our insulated containers from the Outdoor Kitchen & Food category.
In a clean, BPA-free container, drinking water stays fresh for several days when stored in a cool, dark place. For longer storage, we recommend water purification with Micropur tablets or a water filter. Avoid direct sunlight, as it promotes algae growth.
