Anyone planning multi-day trips, setting up a base camp or simply wanting independence from fixed water connections at the campsite needs a reliable water container. Portable jerry cans and collapsible containers allow you to transport and store larger quantities of drinking water safely – without the limitations of conventional water bottles.
At Swiss-Sale.ch you will find premium water containers from BCB International, the long-established British military supplier. Whether a collapsible 10-litre jerry can for the camping site or a water bag for your emergency kit – our containers are BPA-free, food-grade and designed for tough outdoor use.
Collapsible jerry cans are the most space-efficient solution for water transport in the outdoors. When empty, they fold flat and take up virtually no room in your backpack. The BCB Collapsible Plastic Container with a 10-litre capacity is a proven classic: BPA-free, with a robust screw cap and integrated carry handle – trusted by campers, trekkers and military units alike.
Rigid hard-plastic jerry cans offer maximum stability and are particularly suited for stationary camps and vehicle transport. They are stackable, extremely robust and withstand rough handling. For longer expeditions with vehicle support, they are the first choice.
Hydration bladders are worn directly in the backpack and allow drinking through a hose without having to remove the pack. They are excellent for hiking and cycling where a constant water flow is desired. Typical volumes range from 1.5 to 3 litres.
Flexible water bags offer an ultralight alternative to rigid containers. They are ideal as a supplement in a survival kit or as a reserve container on longer trips. Many models can also be used for collecting and filtering water – particularly practical in combination with water filters from our range.
In addition to our containers, we stock water filters and water purification products so you can obtain safe drinking water from natural sources. Drinking cups and water bottles round off the range and ensure a complete water supply at camp.
Water containers are used wherever no fixed water supply is available: camping and wild camping, trekking and backpacking tours, expeditions and base camp setups, festivals and events, military operations and private emergency preparedness. Collapsible models are particularly popular because they take up almost no space or weight when empty.

Yes. High-quality collapsible containers such as the BCB Collapsible Plastic Container feature welded seams and a tight screw cap. When handled properly, they are completely leak-proof – even when fully loaded and carried in a backpack.
BPA (Bisphenol A) is a plasticiser that can leach from certain plastics into the water. BPA-free containers do not use such substances – the water stays taste-neutral and free from potentially harmful chemicals. All our BCB water containers are BPA-free and food-grade.
Rinse the container thoroughly with warm water and a small amount of washing-up liquid after each use. For stubborn deposits, you can use a solution of baking soda and water. Then let the container dry completely before folding and storing it – this prevents mould growth.
Collapsible plastic containers are designed for cold and lukewarm water. Boiling or very hot water can damage the material and cause deformation. For hot beverages, we recommend our insulated containers from the Outdoor Kitchen & Food category.
In a clean, BPA-free container, drinking water stays fresh for several days when stored in a cool, dark place. For longer storage, we recommend water purification with Micropur tablets or a water filter. Avoid direct sunlight, as it promotes algae growth.
