Buy the BCB FireDragon Mini Cooker MK2 – the ultralight multi-fuel outdoor cooker in stainless steel

The BCB FireDragon Mini Cooker MK2 is a foldable outdoor cooker in stainless steel that runs on almost any solid or gel fuel – FireDragon tablets, hexamine, Esbit, methylated gel or solid spirit. At outer dimensions of 7 × 5 × 4 cm it fits any pocket, first-aid kit or survival kit; at just 40 g it is barely noticeable in your pack.

Inside you can store two fuel tablets directly – cooker and fuel in a single unit. When opened, the structure serves as wind shield and stable pot stand for cups and small pots (up to ~700 ml). The BCB FireDragon Mini Cooker MK2 thus suits bushcraft, trekking, emergency stocks, bike camping and for the quick hot-water meal on the trail.

Multi-fuel · foldable

Stainless steel & multi-fuel concept – why this stove works where gas fails

Gas cartridges fail in the cold, in airline hand luggage and after years of storage. The BCB FireDragon Mini Cooker MK2 is the answer: it accepts FireDragon tablets, hexamine, solid spirit, gel and other less-common fuels (no petrol!) and burns reliably – even in frost, at altitude or after long storage. Stainless steel is indestructible, corrosion-resistant and heat-stable.

What is the BCB FireDragon Mini Cooker MK2 made for? – from emergency stocks to bikepacking

The BCB FireDragon Mini Cooker MK2 is the right choice when weight, pack size and reliability count – and gas stoves are too bulky or fail-prone. Ideal for bushcraft and survival kits, multi-day trekking, bikepacking, emergency stocks in the car or basement, the EDC set of an outdoor professional and for anyone who has to set up a hot meal or a cup of tea in an emergency without power.

Fuels & heat output of the BCB FireDragon Mini Cooker MK2

The cooker performs best with BCB FireDragon fuel tablets: non-toxic, almost odourless and made from 100 % natural ingredients. One tablet brings 500 ml of water to a boil in about 8–10 minutes, two tablets cover a full meal (pasta, rice, trekking food). Alternatives: hexamine, Esbit, solid spirit, gel fuel. Not suitable: petrol and other low-flashpoint liquid fuels – ruled out by the design itself.

Care & storage of the BCB FireDragon Mini Cooker MK2

Let it cool after use, then wipe with a dry cloth or tissue. For heavier crust, clean with warm water and a little dish soap, dry thoroughly. Stainless steel does not rust under normal care; store in a dry place. Keep fuel tablets separately in an airtight container – this extends shelf life (FireDragon tablets have a virtually unlimited storage life per the manufacturer). For unusual soot build-up gently polish the cooker with fine steel wool.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions – BCB FireDragon Mini Cooker MK2

Here you will find answers about the BCB FireDragon Mini Cooker MK2 – from fuels and heat output to safety, care and Swiss shipping.

Which fuels does the BCB FireDragon Mini Cooker MK2 accept?
FireDragon tablets, hexamine (Esbit), solid spirit, gel fuel and some high-flashpoint liquid fuels. NOT suitable are petrol, diesel and other low-flashpoint liquids.
How big is the BCB FireDragon Mini Cooker MK2?
Only 7 × 5 × 4 cm outer dimensions. Folded it fits any trouser pocket, first-aid kit or EDC setup.
How heavy is the BCB FireDragon Mini Cooker MK2?
40 g. Even in an ultralight trekking setup the weight is hardly noticeable – yet it replaces a gas stove with cartridge.
How long does the BCB FireDragon Mini Cooker MK2 take to boil water?
With one FireDragon tablet you bring about 500 ml of water to a boil in 8–10 minutes. For a full meal (pasta, rice) plan two tablets.
What pot sizes can I use on the BCB FireDragon Mini Cooker MK2?
Up to about 700 ml recommended – classic trekking mugs, small pots and canteen cups fit on the foldable pot stand. For larger pots the cooker is undersized.
Does the BCB FireDragon Mini Cooker MK2 work in the cold?
Yes – that is its biggest advantage over gas cartridges. Solid fuels like FireDragon ignite reliably even at -20 °C, while butane cartridges no longer vaporise properly from about 0 °C.
Where may I use the BCB FireDragon Mini Cooker MK2?
Outdoors, in a well-ventilated vestibule or under a tarp with sufficient air flow. NEVER in closed rooms, tents or vehicles – every burning process produces carbon monoxide. Keep fire-safe distance to flammable materials.
What accessories suit the BCB FireDragon Mini Cooker MK2?
FireDragon fuel tablets (BCB CN140 etc.), a light trekking pot or mug (300–700 ml), a fire steel for ignition and a heat-resistant pad or stone to protect the surface.
How does the MK2 differ from the older model?
The MK2 is the revised version with improved stability, cleaner finishing and an optimised tablet compartment. Fuels and operation are identical.
How fast does Swiss-Sale.ch ship the BCB FireDragon Mini Cooker MK2?
Orders placed by 5:00 pm are usually dispatched the same business day. We ship with Swiss Post. Delivery within Switzerland takes 1–2 business days. Orders from CHF 100 ship free of charge.
Why buy the BCB FireDragon Mini Cooker MK2 at Swiss-Sale.ch?
Swiss-Sale.ch is an official Swiss dealer for BCB International. You benefit from fast shipping within Switzerland, personal expert advice and warranty handling directly in Switzerland.
What should I watch out for when cooking with the BCB FireDragon Mini Cooker MK2?
Always cook outdoors or in well-ventilated areas – fuel tablets produce carbon monoxide. Use a heat-proof base, keep a safety distance to flammable materials (grass, tents, sleeping bags). Let leftover fuel burn out first before stowing.
