The Nitecore LC10 is a revolutionarily compact magnetic USB charger for almost any cylindrical 3.6/3.7 V Li-ion cell. Instead of a fixed-size slot it uses two magnetic charging contacts that attach to the positive and negative poles of the cell – from 14500 to 18650 to 26700, virtually everything with magnetisable poles is covered.

Magnetic charging contacts – why the LC10 charges (almost) everything
Conventional chargers need a matching slot; the LC10 does not. Two magnetic charging contacts attach to the plus and minus poles of any cylindrical 3.6/3.7 V Li-ion cell – provided the poles are magnetisable. So you charge 14500, 16340, 18350, 18650, 20700, 21700, 26650 and many more sizes with the same device. Side benefit: no jamming in a slot, no wearing mechanics.
Which batteries does the Nitecore LC10 charge?
The LC10 is designed for cylindrical 3.6/3.7 V Li-ion and IMR cells with magnetisable poles – covering almost the entire range of common round cells: 14500, 16340 (RCR123), 17500, 17650, 17670, 18350, 18500, 18650, 20700, 21700, 22650, 25500, 26500, 26650, 26700 and more. So it is ideal as a universal charger for flashlight, head torch and camera cells.
Three functions in one device – charger, power bank, flashlight
At the Micro-USB input you power the LC10: it then charges the attached cell at up to 1 A (4.2 V termination voltage). Disconnect it from mains and the energy flow reverses: the attached cell becomes a power bank and charges a smartphone, radio, head torch or camera via the USB output (5 V). An additional mini flashlight is built right into the LC10 – handy for emergencies and camping.
Connection, materials & handling
Clamp the magnetic contacts to the plus and minus poles of the battery, connect Micro-USB – done. Make sure the battery poles are magnetisable (most common Li-ion cells are). For flat positive poles, a magnetic spacer may help. Only charge rechargeable Li-ion/IMR cells, never disposable batteries.
