In addition, all Ruike blades undergo cryogenic treatment: by deep-freezing to below β70 Β°C, the crystal structure of the steel is refined, noticeably increasing edge hardness and longevity. For mid-range models Sandvik 12C27 is used, while budget-friendly models feature the proven 8Cr13MoV.
