Snugpak Cocoon - hammock insulation system
A novel solution to the problem of hammock insulation. Anyone who has spent the night in a hammock in cold weather knows the problem of insulation. Trying a sleeping bag and insulating with clothing items knows that this type of insulation does not last long, as the weight of the hammock compresses the clothing downward and getting into the sleeping bag can become a struggle. Snugpak's Cocoon solves this problem by creating insulation that encloses the entire hammock, much like a giant banana peel.
The warm air is thereby stored by the Tavelsoft insulation to be kept inside the Snugpak Cocoon. The full-length zipper allows for easy entry into the hammock.
Due to versatility of use, local conditions, and personal opinion, it is difficult to determine a general comfort temperature for the Snugpak Cocoon hammock sleeping system. As a general reference, a 2-season sleeping bag with similar fill weight is provided. We recommend experimenting with your configuration to find the optimal warmth performance for your tastes.
Important when using the Snugpak Cocoon
Before using the Snugpak Cocoon hammock insulation system, check that the weight is not being supported by the Snugpak Cocoon by pressing gently. The Snugpak Cocoon is not designed to be a load bearing element. Your hammock should support your weight, not the Snugpak Cocoon.
