Fenix WT26RM work light
Spot, high-CRI flood and red light on a rotating magnetic mount
Under a bonnet, inside a switch cabinet or up on scaffolding, you have no hand to spare for a torch – and each job wants a different kind of light. The WT26RM carries three sources: a 2'500-lumen spot reaching 362 metres, a flood with CRI ≥ 90 for the work right in front of you, and a red light as a warning signal. Its mount turns through 360 degrees and combines a magnet, a hook and a tripod socket, so the light stays where the work is.
Buy the Fenix WT26RM work light – three light sources and both hands free
The Fenix WT26RM work light is a portable, rechargeable light for the workshop, maintenance, construction sites and inspection work. It packs three light sources into a body measuring 122 × 56 × 40 mm including the mount: a spot with up to 2'500 lumens and a 362-metre beam, a flood at 5'000 K with CRI ≥ 90, and a red light offering 40 lumens constant or a 3 Hz flash. A mount that rotates through 360 degrees, with a built-in magnet, a retractable hook and a tripod socket, holds the light on steel, on an eyelet or on a tripod. Power comes from a replaceable 21700 Li-ion battery with 5'000 mAh, which is included and charges over USB-C in around 3.5 hours; the body is rated IP66 and survives a one-metre drop.
Three sources, three jobs
Spot for distance, high-CRI flood for the task, red as a warning
A work light has to do more than be bright. The spot, built around an SFT42R LED at 6'500 K, concentrates its output: 2'500 lumens on Turbo, 32'822 cd and 362 metres of reach – enough to check a roof truss from the floor, follow a pipe run to the far end of a basement or look across a yard. The flood, with its XP-L2 LED, does a different job: 5'000 K and a colour rendering index of at least 90 show colours accurately enough to tell cable colours, paint shades and material surfaces apart, and its wide beam lights the area in front of you instead of burning out a single point. The red light, finally, is there as a warning and safety light – 40 lumens constant or a 3 Hz flash. You switch between the three on the rotary selector, with no mode cycle to click through.
The 360-degree magnetic mount – four ways to work hands-free
The mount is the part that turns a torch into a work light. It rotates through 360 degrees and carries three things: a built-in magnet, a retractable hook and a tripod socket. Together they give the four ways of using the light that Fenix describes: stick it magnetically to a steel beam, a bonnet or a tool cabinet; stand it up, with the mount acting as a foot; hang it by the hook from a pipe, an eyelet or a branch; or put it on a tripod. Because the mount turns, you aim the light afterwards – the magnet sits wherever it finds a hold, and the beam still points at the job. If you are equipping several workplaces, you will find further models in our range of work lights.
Nine modes – which level lasts how long
The spot has four levels: Turbo at 2'500 lumens, High at 1'000 lumens for 5 hours 31 minutes, Med at 350 lumens for 8 hours 37 minutes and Low at 100 lumens for 29 hours 49 minutes. The flood has three: High at 600 lumens for 3 hours 10 minutes, Med at 250 lumens for 11 hours 57 minutes and Low at 30 lumens for 69 hours 21 minutes – the longest runtime the light offers. The red light runs for 15 hours 58 minutes at 40 lumens, or flashes at 3 Hz. For a working day that means: flood Med at 250 lumens covers nearly twelve hours in one go, while flood High is the setting for the hour when you need to see every detail. All figures are measured to ANSI/PLATO FL1 with the supplied battery. If what you need is a handheld light with more reach rather than a work light, have a look at our flashlights.
Two controls, a battery indicator and USB-C charging
The WT26RM is operated with two controls that cannot be mixed up. The rotary selector chooses the light source – lockout, spot, flood, red – and the electronic button sets the brightness within it. To switch on or off, either turn the selector or hold the button for 0.5 seconds. The lockout position secures the light for the toolbox and for transport, and the memory function recalls the last level used for each source, except for the red light. Five LEDs show the battery level: with the light off, click the button once and the indicator lights for three seconds – five LEDs stand for 100 to 80 %, a single one for 20 to 1 %. Charging runs through the USB Type-C port on the light itself, which sits behind a dust cover and is sealed on the inside; with a 5 V/2 A adapter it takes about 3.5 hours. The Fenix ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 sits behind the battery cap at the base and can be swapped: with a second ARB-L21-5000 V2.0 battery you change cells instead of waiting.
What the WT26RM does – and what it does not
The 2'500 lumens are a peak figure, not a sustained one. The stated Turbo runtime of 3 hours 58 minutes is a total runtime including reduced output: thermal and protective regulation bring the brightness down before body and LED get too warm, so you do not get 2'500 lumens for close to four hours. IP66 means dust-tight and protected against powerful water jets; rain, spray and a strong jet of water are fine, but immersion is not what the light is built for. The one-metre drop rating to ANSI/PLATO FL1 covers a fall from the workbench, not from scaffolding. Spot and flood cannot be switched on together, and there is no side light and no UV LED. No USB mains adapter is supplied, only the cable. The battery compartment takes 21700 Li-ion cells only; Fenix recommends its own ARB-L21 series. And the manufacturer gives no figures for the holding force of the magnet or the thread of the tripod socket – before working overhead, check that the light holds securely on your surface.

What is the WT26RM suited to?
Fenix positions the WT26RM for industry, maintenance, construction, inspection, workshop and patrol use. In practice it belongs wherever you need light and have no hand free for it: changing a wheel at the roadside with the flood on the wheel nuts; in the garage; at the fuse box at home during a power cut; or hung by its hook in the awning at camp. The flashing red light is a useful additional signal at the roadside, but it does not replace a warning triangle. If you mainly want to light a tent or a table, our camping lamps include models designed for exactly that, and our Fenix brand page gives an overview of the other series.
