The blade of the Morakniv 162 (S) is made from 2 mm thick, recycled Swedish stainless steel (12C27) – with a recycled content of over 80%. After hardening at the Morakniv factory in Mora, Sweden, it achieves a hardness of 56.5 HRC and offers excellent cutting strength, sharpness retention, and corrosion resistance.
The stainless steel is virtually maintenance-free: simply clean with warm water and mild soap after use and allow to air dry – your tool is then ready for use again.
