Carbon steel – sharp, durable, and easy to resharpen
The 2.5 mm thick blade is made of German carbon steel (C100S) and heat-treated at the Morakniv factory in Sweden. The result: a hardness of 58.5 HRC and a blade that retains its sharpness for a long time and is easy to resharpen.
Since carbon steel requires care, the blade should be wiped clean and lightly oiled after use. Over time, a matte patina will form, which provides additional protection for the knife and gives it character.

The barrel-shaped handle made of oiled Scandinavian birch fits comfortably in the hand and ensures fatigue-free working, even during long carving sessions. If desired, the wooden handle can be individually adjusted or reworked so that it fits perfectly in your hand.
