Snugpak's olive colored Special Forces Sleeping Bag System consists of two sleeping bags, Special Forces 1 and 2, which can be used separately, and a zipper connector. This system was designed with ultimate versatility in mind, making it suitable for any trip and any environment. The Special Forces sleeping bags can be used individually or combined into a 4-season sleeping bag using the zipper connector. The Snugpak Special Forces 1 is a lightweight sleeping bag for use in above freezing temperatures. With the Snugpak Special Forces 2 you have a sleeping bag that is suitable for missions down to -10°C. For extreme conditions down to -20°C, the two sleeping bags can be combined using a zippered connector.

Connected in this way, you can conveniently close or open the combined sleeping bag with a central, quick-opening zipper. Both sleeping bags have a reinforced foot area and come with a matching compression stuff sack.

Snugpak Special Forces 1 Sleeping Bag

The mummy shape of the Special Forces 1 offers optimal warmth properties and very good comfort. A well adjustable, close-fitting hood, a central 2-way zipper, combination with Special Forces 2, are just a few features of the Snugpak Special Forces 1. The Special Forces 1 is warm, lightweight and is breathable. The outer material is wind and water resistant.

The synthetic softie filling (polyester) of the Special Forces 1 sleeping bag is made of superfine yarns bonded with special resins. The filling gives the Special Forces 1 a luxurious down-like feel. Randomly arranged fine filament fibers create extra voids to trap more warm air, while the softie insulation has the same weight as standard insulation. The Softie fill achieves a natural-like insulation performance and retains most of its thermal properties even when wet. In addition, a Reflectatherm layer is sewn into the sleeping bag, the Reflectatherm reflects body heat radiation, this accelerates the warming of the sleeping bag and up to 15% higher heat retention is achieved.

The Special Forces zipper connector allows the two sleeping bags to be used in combination. To do this, the Special Forces 1 is placed inside the Special Forces 2 sleeping bag and connected to each other by means of the zipper connector. This creates a sleeping bag for extreme conditions down to -20°C. Simply ingenious!
